Appcast Apply
Overview
Appcast Apply is a native-apply technology that allows job seekers to complete applications, without directly interfacing with the employer’s ATS’ user interface. Candidates provide application data to Appcast through publisher or Appcast-hosted forms, which is then securely transferred to the client’s ATS via APIs.
How it Works
Job Distribution: Appcast distributes jobs to publishers through Programmatic Media Buying.
Candidate Experiences:
- Appcast Apply Experience: Candidate clicks on a job advertisement and submits their information on an Appcast-hosted apply form.
- Native Apply Experience: In some cases, job seekers apply directly on the job board using publisher native apply (e.g., Indeed Easy Apply). The job board transmits the completed application data to Appcast, and we then forward that on to the ATS.
Screening Questions: Application questions are retrieved from the client’s ATS; supported question types vary by ATS.
Data Transfer: Candidate information is securely transferred to the employer’s ATS by Appcast.
Integration
Can be enabled for all programmatic publishers running through Appcast once configured at the employer level. Publishers with native apply functionality keep candidates on their platform; publishers without native apply redirect to Appcast-hosted form.

Appcast Apply integrates with our other product and technology offerings (when available) including Programmatic Media Buying, Appcast Search Ads, Appcast Brand Ads, Xtend, and is subject to Appcast Data Management practices.
Requirements
ATS Compatibility: Client must use supported ATS Question Mapping: Client must review Implementation Guide to confirm which ATS questions are supported by Appcast Apply
Privacy Disclosure Review: Joint review of privacy disclosures with publisher required for CCPA/GDPR compliance
Storage of Candidate Data: All candidate application inputs are retained temporarily (30 days) for failed submission notifications (CCPA/GDPR compliant).
ATS Question Support:
- Not all ATS questions are supported by Appcast Apply; clients must compare supported questions to their full ATS application flow.
- Supported question types differ by ATS.
- Screening/knockout questions created in Appcast Employer portal will NOT transfer to ATS.
Traffic Routing: Once Appcast Apply is enabled, all publisher traffic must route through Appcast Apply by default.
Implementation Timeline: Requires coordination between Appcast Implementation/Tech Services team and client resources, where timeline depends on ATS integration complexity and client availability.
