Senior Manager, Product Marketing and Communications

Appcast is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Sr. Manager, Product Marketing & Communications to fill an important need for our business. This is a new, dedicated role in the company and we’re looking for candidates with AdTech/MarTech experience, preferably in Recruitment Marketing, that can roll up their sleeves to develop and direct our product and marketing messaging/positioning, support sales enablement, as well as uniquely head our corporate marketing communications and branding. This role will interact cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Biz Dev, as well as our founder and C-level executives to drive growth in the rapidly evolving segment of recruitment marketing and advertising.


  • Product Marketing

  • Lead the development and implementation of product marketing strategies
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Appcast’s products in the market
  • Support enablement of our global sales team to help them effectively articulate and optimally position the value of our solutions to increase win rates
  • Develop product-focused sales collateral materials and competitive intelligence including presentations, data sheets, sell-through assets, and internal documentation to enable the Sales team to close deals and successfully win over the competition
  • Spearhead product launches – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Create and maintain consistent communication patterns with customer base introducing new features and gaining customer feedback to guide product messaging & development.
  • Lead and maintain on-going strategic analysis and understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Act as a knowledge expert internally for the market, competition, and our customers
  • Marketing Communications

  • Develop company-level content, including product specific collateral suitable for business development, strategic partnerships, sales, and channel
  • Evaluate and continuously improve our positioning and messaging framework
  • Own and develop corporate website with the Demand Gen Marketing team, working with designers and agency vendors to build upon the site and position solutions, brand/style, and content offers
  • Lead PR efforts to establish programs to spread awareness of Appcast as a trusted brand
  • Manage thought leadership efforts such as speaking programs for CEO/senior management
  • Brand Management

  • Own and develop Appcast’s brand platform, messaging and creative, working with cross-functional teams to integrate Appcast’s brand voice consistently across all touchpoints
  • Develop brand books, style guides, and media decks for solutions aligned with key target audiences reflecting value prop, brand personality and key messages
  • Shape and implement brand architecture and identity system, including corporate and product descriptions, internal/external style guides, and logos/graphics, names, & taglines

Candidate Traits

  • 5-7 years relevant work experience with at least 2 years in a B2B product marketing function working throughout a product and customer lifecycle
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills - you need to be able to write clean copy in layman’s terms that clearly communicates the unique value proposition for each product in our portfolio
  • A deep understanding of branding/messaging, and a passion and ‘eye’ for design (e.g. you obsess over colors, logos, formatting, and strive to be ‘pixel perfect’)
  • Experience in working effectively with sales and channel teams
  • Experience and passion for building a Product Marketing team, and coaching more junior Product Marketers or others in the team that are less experienced
  • Highly-proactive, self-starter capable of effectively managing several projects and ruthless prioritization
  • Desire to work in a ‘startup-like’ culture, yet produce highly professional work
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and ability to execute in an environment where things are not always crystal clear and stay calm in the face of a challenge
  • Previous experience in the Recruiting Advertising industry is a plus
