DESCRIPTION


Appcast is looking for a strong-willed individual to drive the vision & execute the product plan for our B2B recruitment marketing platforms. We can deliver extremely engaged customers with tremendously sophisticated advertising goals to guide you. Your job will be to steer the course through ever-changing priorities, production issues and our strategic initiatives to bring world-class software to the recruitment industry’s best and brightest talent acquisition & marketing teams.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Collaborating with internal sales, account management and product teams to create a product plan to meet our ambitious growth & customer satisfaction goals.

Joining customer calls to learn first hand what we’re doing well – so we can do more of it - and understand where we need to do better.

Defining & prioritizing high-level objectives & detailed product requirements to deliver measurable value to our B2B customers

Establishing process & communication mechanisms to bring shared understanding of our feature releases, bug fixes & roadmap to both internal and external (partners, prospects, customers) stakeholders.

Ensuring that all projects are measured and managed effectively to ensure that investments made achieve the planned results.

WHO YOU ARE NOT

A ticket pusher. Writing the best user stories & detailed acceptance criteria is not part of the job. Shipping great products to our customers is everything.

An order taker. Product Managers at Appcast are expected to understand & own product deliverables and have the ability to clearly articulate investment, value & success metrics. There will be frequent, animated conversation about how we should proceed.

An idea person. Yes, you will need to have the ideas, but then you have the ability to describe the discrete, actionable steps required to get from point A to point B. And you’ll be able to incorporate ideas from all business functions, especially development to bring the best solution to market.

A jerk. We value integrity, honesty, willingness to admit we don’t have all the answers and the ability to understand and learn from our mistakes. We’re a team and we all succeed together.

Squeamish. You will be in the trenches, able to understand and empathize with how our actions affect customers – from great new features to nasty bugs – and will represent Appcast by phone, email, Intercom, Skype and in-person.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of demonstrated experience in a thinking position(s) where you’ve been responsible to make decisions and quantify how your actions have made your company better

Experience with B2B UI/UX product management and BI-as-a-product

Excellent people skills

List arrow

Familiarity with advertising concepts & technology – CPC, eCPC, yield, inventory management, Ad APIs, audience segmentation, etc
